As I’m reading through the Bible this year, I’m amazed at the things that are jumping out at me from those passages that I’ve read more than any others in my life. Once again in Matthew, a verse jumped out and hit me upside the head.

“Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.” – Matthew 10:26 – NASB

God doesn’t dig privacy. Probably because no matter how hard we try to hide some things from ever seeing the light of day, God sees them. He knows not only everything we do and every word we speak, but He knows every thought we think. Kind of gives a new twist on the classic song by The Police, “Every Breath You Take.”

Is it that God has nothing better to do than pry around and search for the skeletons in the closet. No!! It’s simply part of who He is. He is the omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omnipresent (ever-present) Creator of the universe and beyond.

Few things can create more stress in our lives like trying to keep a sin secret. The reality is that it will in time be revealed no matter what we do to hide it. Isn’t it so much better to ‘control’ how that sin is discovered than to have it yanked out in the open when you least expect it.

The Bible tells us that ‘The truth shall set you free.’ Are we hiding anything? Let’s show some courage and confess. I have no doubt that you will find freedom in the confession. You will find brothers and sisters in Christ who can hold you up in prayer and hold you accountible as you deal with whatever issue is in your life.

What’s in the dark corners of your life? Time to shed some light on them and enjoy the freedom that comes in confession.

Love you all!
