So those few of you out there that follow this blog know that I haven’t blogged in a really long time. I think the reality is the attempt to put content out at least weekly is honestly something that I’m just not at a place where that’s reasonable. Having said that, I do enjoy blogging so I am going to keep this blog going. So as we embark on a new year, here’s what the game plan is.
This blog has in large part been an archive of my fitness (or lack thereof) journey over the past several years. I still want to do that this year, but in a different way. At the first of each month I will do a check in. That check in will include an update on my running for the month, other workouts (I’m now lifting with my oldest daughter about 3 times per week) and weight loss progress. Nothing fancy, just an update and an attempt at some accountability.
I will occasionally do some other blog entries about other things (theme parks, Bible study, life, etc), but I know that many of you follow because of the fitness stuff.
As 2023 begins these are my current weight stats.
Weight – 253.0 pounds (I am beginning 2023 4.5 pounds heavier than I started 2022).
BMI (according to Garmin) – 34.3 which is up 0.6 from January 1 of 2022.
Goal weight – 210
Pounds to lose – 43
